Leadership Coach
Dr. Theresa Weidenbaugh, started her career in 1985 at Spring-Ford School District and remained there for her entire career. She began teaching at Limerick elementary school as a third and fourth grade teacher. Always looking for new learning experiences she moved to the middle school where she taught English to Sixth and Seventh Graders. She received her Master’s Degree from Villanova in School Administration and quickly transitioned to an assistant principal position once she finished her Master’s Degree. After serving as an assistant principal in middle school and high school she became principal of the 7th Grade Center when it opened its doors for the first time in 2004. Her vision and mission at the 7th Grade Center was to create an environment of high academic excellence where students, parents, community leaders, and teachers take an active role in student success. As the principal of the 7th Grade Center, she quickly recognized through data analysis that teacher training was instrumental in student success. That training required embedded practices through the assistance of Dr. Pete Grande and TLS. While at the 7th Grade Center, she received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Immaculata University.
Theresa then transitioned to the high school as the principal of the 9th Grade Center in 2012. She began to transform teacher practices at the 9th Grade Center with the assistance of TLS, built structures for teacher dialogue and professional learning communities, the implementation of technology as the vehicle to improve teacher instruction, and promoted a culture that supported high staff morale and student achievement. She remained at the 9th Grade Center until her retirement in 2022.
