Director of Learning
Maureen (Mo) Zavadel has spent over 20 years in public education empowering teachers and students to reach their highest individual potential. Maureen understands that teachers and students thrive when they feel “Safe, Seen, and Stretched” in their classroom and school communities. Her fundamental belief is that significant learning requires meaningful and authentic relationships. Her goal is to help students and educators connect deeper to develop personalized learning experiences that accelerate growth.
Throughout her tenure in public education as both a special education teacher and building principal, Maureen has led and facilitated professional development for various school and district-level change initiatives, such as early literacy programming, data-informed, standards-aligned instruction, multi-tiered systems of support (M.T.S.S.), and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (P.B.I.S.).
Maureen earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education from Kutztown University, her master’s degree in Elementary Education from Cedar Crest College, and her Principal’s Certification from Lehigh University.
