Creating a district-specific set of Best Practices for Teaching with AI that is in line with district policy will offer guidance to educators, provide assurance to parents, and ensure direction and protection for students.
The process and resources for developing the Best Practices list includes:

- Providing the district with essential resources to support effective AI implementation, including:
- AI Classroom Guidelines – use these research based guidelines to develop classroom guidance for staff. These guidelines are grounded in the latest research and tailored to help educators develop effective classroom strategies.
- AI Best Engagement Practices in Writing – The strategies in this document are designed to integrate AI tools into writing instruction to enhance student engagement and nurture creativity. It emphasizes AI’s roles in idea generation, feedback, and developing student voice, while stressing the importance of human feedback and creativity in the writing process.
