Professional Learning Facilitator
Amy Zeigler (she/her) taught middle school social studies for seven years in Washington, D.C. and Montgomery County, MD. She has held multiple additional roles in her school communities, including grade level team leader and department head. She was selected to participate in Montgomery County’s myLearning project pilot program and earned “Lead Teacher” status within the county. She has worked for several universities and colleges as both a mentor teacher and supervisor for four years. Amy is currently an online graduate adjunct instructor in McDaniel College’s Equity and Excellence in Education certificate program. Amy has worked in a variety of settings with diverse students and staff and is always learning. Along with her partner, she is currently raising 3 children to be change agents in building a more free world.
Amy earned her B.A. in International Studies and Secondary Education from American University and her M.Ed. in Teacher Leadership from the University of Maryland. She also holds a micro-credential in Digital Learning and Teaching from American College of Education..
