Dr. Marcy Hessinger believes that teachers and building principals are a most critical influence on students’ school success.  Her passion is to support teachers in their efforts to leverage instructional strategies that lead to a highly engaging learning experience for students.

Throughout her 35-year career in public education, Dr. Hessinger has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and central office administrator at the elementary, middle, junior high and high school levels in the Downingtown, Upper Dublin and Great Valley School Districts.  Dr. Hessinger has presented at numerous conferences including: Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Learning Forward PA, PA Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, PA Association of School Administrators, PA Middle School Association, and the PA School Boards Association.   Awards and recognition includes: 3E Institute Educator 500 Award, Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development – Supervision and Curriculum Development Award, Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society at Immaculata University, and the Fulbright Scholarship Study Abroad scholarship.

Dr. Hessinger earned a B.S. in Secondary Education / German from the Pennsylvania State University, Principal Certification and the M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Villanova University and the Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility and Ed.D. from Immaculata University.
