Kathleen Woods

Professional Learning Facilitator

Kathleen Woods recently retired from teaching English Language Arts in many capacities at the Pottsgrove School District. She taught reading, writing, and analysis in grades six through ten. Over her 24 years at the district, she held many leadership roles, including ELA department head, assessment team coordinator, district reading coordinator, writing task force member, scheduling committee member, school improvement team member, and last but certainly not least, a K-12 instructional and curriculum coach.

Kathleen truly enjoyed teaching her students throughout their middle and high school years. She felt fortunate the district allowed her to serve as a coach to her fellow teachers. As a K-12 instructional and curriculum coach, she supported teachers in effective instructional/classroom management strategies and curriculum revisions. As a coach, she is most proud of fostering genuine and positive relationships with her colleagues to raise student achievement.

Mrs. Woods is a graduate of Immaculata University and Wilkes University. She lives in Chester County with her husband, son, mother, and three (yes – three dogs). She enjoys spending time with her four children and seven grandchildren, reading, gardening, walking, and spending time at the beach.
