Scott Heydt is the founder and president of RefinED Character, an educational consulting company specializing in social emotional development for K-12, collegiate, and non-profit communities. Scott is an experienced educator with over eight years in the elementary classroom and seven years as a graduate level collegiate instructor.

Committed to whole child education, Scott teaches twelve graduate level courses through Neumann University’s Department of Education including “The Realities of Bullying and Hazing”, “Inclusion”, and “Project Based Learning.” He also delivers staff development and student unity experiences throughout the United States.

Scott is deeply involved in the values-based Greek movement. Through his partnership with Shadywood Road Productions and its feature film “Haze: A Greek Tragedy”, he has visited campuses around the nation to facilitate campus conversations about the dangers of hazing practices. He served for ten years as the Director of Academic Affairs for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity’s International Board of Directors. He regularly serves as a facilitator at regional and national Greek conventions.

Scott earned a BA in Elementary Education and Psychology from Moravian College and an MA in Leadership & Liberal Studies from Duquesne University. He resides in Bucks County, PA with his wife, Monika, two tuxedo cats, and a brindle greyhound.
